As an Analog validation engineer, you will be working as a member of the Austin location's Xeon Analog Validation Engineering (AVE) team that is responsible for the analog/electrical validation of Intel's next generation leading edge Server CPUs. The scope of electrical validation includes validating of the CPU Input/Output (I/O) analog circuits and signals, covering memory DIMM memory as part of the data center system.
The Analog Validation Engineering (AVE) responsibilities include, although not limited to:

* Analog I/O circuit validation, debug, signal waveform measurements and analysis on transmission lines, printed circuit board validation, and validation software development
* Developing and improving AVE methods for signal integrity and circuit validation, planning and executing validation tasks in the lab, performing statistical analysis on lab result data, and presenting results and conclusions to the AVE team's stakeholders
* You will engage with AVE partner organization in debug of complex system level problems, developing validation methods and test content, and presenting validation results

We are looking for a candidate whose behavioral traits indicate:

* Good interpersonal and leadership skills including working as a member of the EV team
* Willingness to make necessary autonomous decisions given vague and conflicting constraints
* Willingness to process data to identify health risks and provide mitigation solutions

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications

The candidate must have a Bachelors degree in in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Electrical and Computer Engineering/Science and 4+ years of experience -OR- a Masters degree in in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Electrical and Computer Engineering/Science and 3+ years of experience in:

* Analog circuit design or validation, and/or signal integrity design or validation.
* Hardware lab with test equipment (oscilloscopes, TDR, VNA, logic analyzer, etc.), computer systems, and test stations
* Computer system hardware setup and operation
* Test/validation software development, including experience with c, c++, or c; scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or Visual Basic
* Mathematical and statistical data analysis, including experience with JMP and/or Matlab

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience with analog circuit design or validation, and/or signal integrity design or validation
