The transaction will enhance the resources and potential of the business' storage solutions, including client and enterprise SSDs, in the rapidly growing NAND Flash space amid the era of big data.

As a Firmware Validation Engineer, you will be part of a world-class team that will transition to lead the SSD business at SK Hynix.

This position aligns to Phase 1 of the transaction, which includes the 3DNAND enterprise and client SSD business. Phase 1 is expected to close in late 2021, subject to regulatory approvals and other customary conditions. At deal close, all employees aligned to this phase of the transaction will transition to SK Hynix.

We are currently seeking Firmware Validation professionals to join a growing team within Intel's Non-Volatile Memory Solutions Group working on validating next generation Storage technology. In this position you will join a fast-paced team developing and maintaining validation software for Intel Solid State Drives (SSD). You will utilize and grow your experience in reviewing requirements, developing and implementing tests. You will use and gain experience in interface standards such as PCIe, NVMe and NVMe MI. You'll be part of a diverse engineering team that values open communication, empowerment, innovation, teamwork and customer success. The ideal candidate will have a strong self-directed work ethic, demonstrated leadership skills and a can-do attitude. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work closely with team members, both locally and across the organization is required.

As a validation engineer, regular responsibilities include but are not be limited to:

* Analyze and develop validation tests for internal and external (customer/industry) specifications
* Define, develop and implement firmware validation test plans
* Integrate tests into an automated test environment, and collaborate firmware developers to analyze and resolve issues
* Review, track and document test results and failures
* Triage failures, recommend and/or implement solutions
* Work closely with internal teams such as ASIC and firmware development to drive resolution of firmware and system bugs
* Work with project stakeholders to turn product requirements into development and validation plans
* Participate in and role model a culture which emphasizes product quality, team accountability, and continuous improvement

Colorado Pay Transparency Law requires that Intel discloses the compensation for jobs which could be performed in Colorado. Intel anticipates that the annual base pay range for this role in Colorado is Min $83540 - Max $133410 In addition to base pay, regular Intel employees are eligible for an Annual Performance Bonus (APB) and Quarterly Profit Bonus (QPB). Payout of APB is subject to eligibility and other program conditions as well as the Companys performance to its operational and financial goals. Payout of QPB connects Intels employees to the quarterly profits of the Company. Employees in eligible sales and marketing positions receive commission in lieu of APB but are eligible for QPB. Qualifications

The below minimum qualifications must be met to be considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Education:

* Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or a related field

Minimum Requirements:

* 3+ Software or firmware development experience in an embedded systems validation environment with programming in Python/C/C++
* 3 + years of experience in developing, reviewing, and implementing test plans
* 3+ years of experience in software validation concepts and coverage analysis tools
* 3+ years of experience in developing unit tests and//or quality validation
* 2+ years of experience working with at least one of the following industry standards: NVMe, NVMe MI or PCIe

Preferred Requirements:

* Storage industry (SSDs or enterprise storage)
* Validation development techniques utilizing hardware and firmware tools
* Exposure to commercial product development/validation environment
* Structured software development and practices, analytical problem solving, innovation and a mindset of continuous improvement
* Software development process including workflow and continuous integration validation
* Customer requirements definition, clarification, and technical assessment
