The transaction will enhance the resources and potential of the business storage solutions, including client and enterprise SSDs, in the rapidly growing NAND Flash space amid the era of big data.

As a Hardware Engineer, you will be part of a world-class team that will transition to lead the SSD business at SK hynix.

Candidates being hired for Phase 1

This position aligns to Phase 1 of the transaction, which includes the 3DNAND enterprise and client SSD business. Phase 1 is expected to close in late 2021, subject to regulatory approvals and other customary conditions. At deal close, all employees aligned to this phase of the transaction will transition to SK hynix.

NSG is a business group within Intel that is responsible for the design, development, and manufacturing of SSDs for both client and enterprise applications.

Hardware engineers design and develop SSD products that includes researching components, simulations, schematic capture, component placement & routing on printed circuit boards (PCB), building prototypes, validating designs and successfully transitioning to high volume manufacture (HVM). HW engineers ensure that SSD designs conform to standards and specifications. Hardware engineers make development plans and cost estimates for project teams and execute to product schedules.
Responsibilities also include developing tests procedures for components and SSD product designs and writing Firmware for component and SSD product validation. Hardware engineers need to work closely with cross functional teams during pre and post design phase for smooth development of products and to meet product schedules. Hardware Engineers develop solutions to problems utilizing formal education and judgment.
Hardware (HW) team in NSG division of Intel Corporation is looking for a HW engineer. Hardware team is responsible for all product design development phases ranging from PCB circuit design, simulations, layout, prototyping and validation leading to high volume manufacture of Intel's Solid State Drives (SSDs).

As an SSD HW Engineer, you will be responsible for range of tasks related to PCB design for SSD products. Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

* Working closely with rest of the project teams to develop and qualify SSD products.
* Evaluate and validate components for SSD PCBs.
* Planning and documentation.
* Dealing with challenging situation.
* Communicate with different teams building relationship with them.

Qualifications

Education:

The candidate must have a BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field.

Minimum Qualifications:
3+ years of experiences in the following areas:

* PCB circuit design.
* Validation.

Preferred Qualifications:

1+ years of experiences in the following areas:

* Analog and mixed signal circuit design, signals and systems and transmission lines.
* High speed simulations, spice simulations and power system design.
* Leading a team of design engineers on design projects.
