Job Description

GDIT is looking for an experienced of an Operational Security (OPSEC) specialist in support of a government client and their national security mission. As part of this position you will be located with the customer to help establish and implement security policy and OPSEC plans to enhance the customer's overall security posture by considering all aspects of security to include personnel security, physical security, information security, operations security (OPSEC) and risk management. Ensure the customer's security, OPSEC and risk management taskers and requirements are completed on schedule and in a professional manner.

Applicant must possess an active Top Secret security clearance, based upon a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) or SSBI Periodic Review (SBPR) and be eligible for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI)

* Manages and implements the customer's program protection plans, policies and procedures in the areas of personnel security, physical security, information security, OPSEC and risk management to safeguard the customer's information and activities.
* Provides feedback to the government customer on completed security inspections, reviews and edits team inspection reports, follows up on security inspection findings and mitigations by tracking and monitoring a plan of action and milestone action plan.
* Oversees and coordinates regular site reviews ensuring security controls and procedures are in place in accordance with applicable governmental regulations.
* Ensures standard operating procedures, memorandum of agreement, co-use agreements, and other policies have been established and/or updated periodically to achieve the right level of security within the organization.
* Manages and tracks the customer's OPSEC Program
* Ensures maintenance of a Level III OPSEC Program conforming with the requirements set forth in DoD Manual 5205.02-M, DoD Operations Security (OPSEC) Program Manual.
* Supervises the integration of the OPSEC process into all phases of planning and implementation of customer-related activities.
* Oversees the execution of OPSEC assessments and surveys.

Requirements:
* Requires a bachelor's degree in a related area or equivalent experience
* Minimum of 10 years of general security experience with U.S. Government security fields to include physical security, personnel security, information security, counterintelligence and OPSEC (5 years must be subject matter expertise and hands-on experience in the OPSEC discipline and experience establishing and implementing security programs and policies.
* Previous security experience working in a Government Security Program.
* Must have a thorough understanding of, and experience implementing Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs).
* Extensive technical writing skills, oral communications skills, and be willing to travel in the continental United States (up to 10% of the calendar year).
