Job Description

GDIT is looking for a highly cleared Multimedia Technician to join our team working in fast-paced live event production environment providing direct audiovisual support to our federal government client.

Daily activities include setup and operation of sound reinforcement systems and audio and video recording equipment, announcing, and providing audio and video distribution to press. Our team also records and provides a record of event. Presentations and events may include, but are not limited to: press conferences, ceremonies, town hall meetings, swearing-in of officials, video teleconferences, public service announcements, trade announcements, outdoor press statements, and departure statements.

Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 5-7 years of experience in AV and/or television broadcast operation with 2-3 years of experience and explicit in-depth knowledge of installation, operation, and maintenance of broadcast-quality audio and video documentation and recording systems.

* Possesses specialized and progressively responsible experience as a technician, operator, or instructor which shows progression in theoretical and practical knowledge of audio and video production to include audio pickup, amplification, distribution, equalization, public address, teleprompter, lighting systems, and video teleconferencing systems.
* Experience shall have included proper utilization, interconnection, and operation of sound reinforcement systems.
* Experience shall have included proper utilization, interconnection and operation of video teleprompter components and systems.
* Experience shall have also included use of schematic diagrams, a variety of test equipment, and application of appropriate electronic formulas involved in such duties as testing, troubleshooting, repairing, constructing, developing instruction on electronic and audio equipment.
* Shall possess knowledge of techniques used by civilian broadcast and professional audiovisual organizations, including equipment that meets the stringent commercial broadcast standards.
* Shall possess knowledge of the most current equipment available to maintain day-to-day operation of a professional audio and video production facility.
* Shall possess the experience in Broadcast lighting techniques to provide professional well-lit events.
* Shall have a proven skill in planning, installing, operating and troubleshooting recording and reproducing systems to obtain commercial/broadcast quality audio and video.
* Shall have a proven skill in coordinating diverse and fast-changing requirements.
* Must be eligible for a TS/SCI clearance

Weekend and holiday hours are subject to the client schedule, with opportunities for overtime.
