GENERAL FUNCTION:

Senior Processing Managers are responsible for mortgage processing teams including government, conventional, state bond, and VA processing. Manage multiple processing teams within the site keeping the customer in the center and developing/growing the processors. Manager teams to standards while providing input and feedback for timely and efficient processes. Possess knowledge of banking regulations and risk and apply that knowledge to the role. Help ensure the implementations of the mortgage strategy are meeting company goals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Manage multiple teams of mortgage processors.
* Carry out/implement change or enhancements to the processing teams and functions. Ensure tactical resolution to support other fulfillment teams on support our sales partners and the external customer.
* Ensure applied practices are within the bank risk appetite and compliance/regulatory guidance.
* Coach and develop all team members providing constructive feedback and investments in employees to further careers and contributions.
* Provide feedback to improve and change process to create better partnerships and care of customers.
* Manage quality of teams, use measurements and inputs to provide feedback and in turn improve overall quality reduce risk, repurchase, and by backs, quality improvements.
* Aid in load balancing and resource optimization to take care of our customers.
* Ensure manager are coaching and developing individuals.
* Help ensure consistency across all of processing.
* Help ensure procedures adherence and knowledgeable management across processing.
* Work with pipeline manager and sales managers.
* Manage escalated and loan scenarios/issues.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITES:

Provides general leadership and guidance to direct and indirect reports. Creates vision for group. Foster and hone leadership skills on team. Provides direction as well as timely, candid, and constructive performance feedback. Develops employees to their fullest potential and provides challenging opportunities that enhance employee career growth. Develops the appropriate talent pool to ensure adequate bench strength and succession. Ensures on going recognition and rewards for employee accomplishments. Develops strong leaders who promote process improvement, career development, diversity and other corporate initiatives.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

* Some college. degree preferred.
* 5 - 10 years mortgage experience especially Processing and Underwriting standards.
* 3 - 5 years management experience.
* Knowledge of investor guidelines, standards, and practices.
* Demonstrated partnership skills.
* Strong written and verbal communication.
* Strong PC skills.
* Sound decision making skills.
