Data Analyst, Risk Operations

Job Description

The mission of the Facebook Risk and Payments team is to serve our global community by providing payment support and protecting individuals and businesses against financial abuse. Within the Risk and Payments team, Risk Investigations is responsible for overseeing day-to-day fraud management for Facebook's suite of payments products. We define performance metrics, build monitoring and alerting systems, analyze new fraud trends, scale operational workflows, and build and manage rules to detect and prevent abuse.

Data Analyst, Risk Operations Responsibilities

* Leverage analytics to drive key performance metrics such as fraud losses, false positives, and operational efficiency

* Apply a data-driven approach to identify, understand, and scope emerging fraud trends on the Facebook platform

* Oversee data and metric governance for fraud, system, and operations performance

* Partner with Data Science, Product, Engineering and Operations teams to solve problems at scale

Minimum Qualifications

* 3+ years experience doing quantitative analysis

* Proficient at defining, utilizing and communicating performance metrics

* Experience manipulating large data sets in SQL or equivalent, and drawing actionable insights from data

* Experience in at least one scripting language (PHP, Python, Perl), statistical software (R, SAS, SPSS), or data visualization tool (Tableau)

Preferred Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Business, Science, Engineering, or Economics
