Our role is to deeply understand people and communities, and drive insights that can shape Artificial Intelligence(AI)-based innovation. The ideal candidate will help elevate the practice of research with creative but rigorous qualitative, quantitative, and/or design research methods. The ideal candidate will also be an excellent communicator, knowledgeable about product design, passionate about understanding people, curious about the relationship between technology and society, comfortable in a flat, fast moving organization, and a great collaborator.
AI Quantitative Researcher Responsibilities
* Orchestrate strategic visioning and analytical activity, moving between macro trends and micro trends and developing substantiated POV's for AI related topics
* Partner with design, engineering and research peers to develop AI use cases that start with people's needs at the center and demonstrate Facebook AI technology
* Influence executional strategy, goals and metrics to ensure line-of-sight to success
* Work with the AI design team to build awareness, familiarity and preference for AI technology
* Identify opportunities to constantly improve the quality of thinking applied to AI insights
Minimum Qualifications
* BA/BS in a human behavior related field, such as human-computer interaction, psychology, sociology, communication, information science, media studies, or economics
* Experience designing & conducting international studies, both quantitative and qualitative
* Experience with online surveys and mixed methods studies
* Problem-solving experience and experience to quickly move from blank state to well-defined problem with a suitable methodology
* Partner with Decision Science to develop hypotheses and comprehensive test and measurement plans, to design and execute experiments to achieve product strategy and effective roadmap
* Experience with data and utilizing numbers to define and support hypotheses
* Experience doing research for high tech companies, either as a research vendor or as an internal researcher
* Experience in effectively navigating ambiguity within senior stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
* 5+ years of research experience
* Excellent communication and presentation skills with proven track record of using insights to influence decision-making and product planning with executives and colleagues
* Design and execute comprehensive, best-in-class quantitative and qualitative research solutions, at both strategic and tactical research projects
* Demonstrated experience running brainstorming or activation workshops is preferred
