Sourcing Manager, Data Center Facilities Operations

The Facebook SOE-IDC Sourcing team is seeking a seasoned Sourcing Manager to drive Facility Operations Sourcing for our global data centers. This role spans all aspects of data center facility operations including but not limited to critical facilities services, non-critical services, preventive maintenance, data center retrofits as well as the management of associated suppliers, development and execution of sourcing strategy, contract negotiations, and cost management. This person will manage commercial relationships for our critical services in support of Facebook Data Centers Globally, the Sourcing Manager will operate across all levels of the organization, partnering with various teams internally to help our data centers run more efficiently. In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end sourcing of services in support of our critical infrastructure and ensuring strategic alignment with Facebooks operational direction and growth objectives. This position requires a strong technical acumen, proven accomplishments with cross-functional teamwork and superior negotiation skills.

Sourcing Manager, Data Center Facilities Operations Responsibilities

* Analyze the overall supply chain to identify risk and drive resolution to systemic supply chain issues affecting services delivery, quality, risk, operations, cost, etc.

* Partner with internal stakeholders to develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies in support of the long-range plans.

* Own the interface to and lead engagement with suppliers and cross functional partners for all RFX activities.

* Develop negotiation strategy and approach, acceptable terms and conditions and lead the Facebook negotiation through to closure.

* Drive continuous supplier improvement in purchase price and total cost, including supply chain performance cost.

* Manage the overall supplier relationship, lead and coordinate efforts to drive supplier performance improvement in all areas.

* Ensure appropriate levels of strategy, definition and development to the supply chain (physical, financial and information flows) in the areas of design, source, make and deliver have been implemented.

* Stakeholder relationship management. Establish and lead the business relationship with key stakeholders while aligning on strategy and top impact initiatives.

* Develop, implement and manage key strategic initiatives that enable efficient scaling, optimal supplier performance and cost efficiency.

* Analyze spend data, internal requirements and external supply markets to support overall global sourcing strategy for the data centers.

* Own and lead the supplier interface for all RFI, RFP and RFQ services. Partner with appropriate internal stakeholders. Present RFx results to the evaluation team and drive the closure of a sourcing and purchase decision.

* Identify and manage key performance metrics that enable optimal internal SLA performance.

* Develop and lead and Business Reviews for key suppliers.

* Identify, qualify and formalize which suppliers should be on a preferred supplier list. Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment. Guide business to PSL.

* Lead measuring supplier performance, root causing issues, and driving improved performance. Own all aspects of supplier performance (cost, quality and delivery).

* Willing to travel as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

* BA/BS or at least 5 years of Technical Facilities Operations of critical service sourcing experience.

* At least 5 years of Sourcing Management or Supply Chain Management experience in related Critical services.

* Experience in negotiating cost, managing vendor performance against contract and driving supplier quality improvements.

* Experience in influencing stakeholders and business partners.

* Experience in improving supply chain and supplier performance including the use of cost models and objective based performance measures.

* Knowledge of purchasing, negotiating and end-to-end supplier management.

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience managing service vendors in a mission critical environment.

* Experience with Hyper-scale Data Center deployment.

* Business knowledge of technical facility operations, infrastructure as a service, and/or data centers.

* Experience in networking, cloud industry or related field.
