The Creative Experiences (Creative X) team redefines creativity by delivering integrated marketing for Facebook, both on and off our platforms. Our goals align with the broader Facebook company mission of community and bringing people closer together. Through consumer marketing, we create brand experiences that help people discover, understand, and fall in love with Facebook's products and services.

The Creative X, Events & Experiences team focuses on brand experiences. While our 360 brand campaigns bring our brands to life through an omni-channel approach, our brand experiences discipline enables us to engage our communities at a deeper level, both in real life and on digital platforms. Sometimes this will be with smaller, more targeted audiences but this will also look like pushing digital innovation at scale with accessibility and inclusivity at the forefront of brand experiences. As a leader on the Creative X Events & Experiences team, your scope will be focused on WhatsApp and Messenger. You will guide budgets, schedules and creative (through trusted agency and production partners) to influence and develop the most compelling and impactful way to tell our stories through brand experiences. You will work closely with marketers, program managers and creative teams to roadmap, bid and execute projects through agencies. Critical to the success of this role is collaboration across the organization, stakeholder alignment, creative problem solving, building trust and understanding of the power of this discipline across the entire marketing organization.

Events & Experiences Lead, Creative X Responsibilities

* Serve as events & experiences lead for WhatsApp and Messenger, sitting within Creative X production team.

* Work with marketers to influence and develop events & experiential roadmaps and creative for respective apps that align to brand and cultural moments.

* Work with Creative X Creative Directors, Program Managers, Film/Video producers, digital and product producers, and Business Affairs team to influence and deliver fearless creativity through experiential.

* Identify the right agency and production partners.

* Ensure awarded jobs are handed off for execution and ensure partners execute at high creative quality that is legally compliant with Facebook ways of working.

* Work alongside events & experiences leads for Instagram, Facebook Blue app and International to build team infrastructure and ways of working including identifying opportunities and implementing solutions for the team.

* Track and analyze agency and production partner spend and deliverables on a quarterly basis to optimize for better creative and any efficiencies that can be identified.

* Lead with vision in working with Marketing and Creative X leadership with the goal of elevating the discipline within Creative X and Marketing.

* Work closely with Creative X leadership to develop 3+ month roadmaps and plans for your respective apps.

* Serve as mentor and point of escalation for producers of all levels.

* Help develop a best in class team focused on creativity and innovation, and build a culture of learning.

* Help drive and implement fair and consistent payment models, and industry leading D&I programs and best practices behind all our brand experiences.

* Plan and understand resource requests, and coordinate resources across multiple projects and team.

* Help prioritize projects with Marketing and Creative X Leadership based on impact, company objectives and resources.

* Build successful cross-functional partnerships and relationships with Insights/Analytics, Decision Science, Media, Comms and Policy leads.

* Manage a small number of direct reports and help to create and sustain a culture of excellence, authenticity and inclusivity.

Minimum Qualifications

* 12+ years of experience across events for a brand or agency in marketing/advertising.

* Experience in people management, team building, and mentorship.

* Experience working with consumer-facing brands in tech and/or consumer electronics.

* Experience developing and executing both end-to-end physical and digital brand experiences.

* Experience and relationships with a wide variety of global experiential agencies and partners.

* Experience rolling out cross-org strategies and building plans for implementation.

* Experience working directly with marketers, helping them to reach their campaign goals by using brand experiences as a lever for success.

* Experience with measurement frameworks and success metrics for both physical and digital events.

* Experience in building and leading cross-functional and decentralized teams.

* Experience presenting amongst leadership and creating presentation decks.

* Experience in creating and implementing high level roadmaps and timelines for teams across 6+ month blocks.

Preferred Qualifications

* Bachelors degree, post-graduate or degree in communications, marketing or business.

* Experience navigating and implementing goals within large organizations.

* Film/video and digital experience.

* Entrepreneurial spirit.

* Experience working with brand product teams.
