Job Description

Focused on our most critical and complex areas, you will persuade and influence, create and innovate, and use structured, analytical and strategic thinking to solve problems and find solutions where there is no predefined way of doing things. The Director, Portfolio Management & Insights will manage two key teams whose work is at the intersection of strategy, program management, data and insights. This is a newly formed team so this role will have the unique opportunity in setting up the ways of working to align with strategic objectives, ensuring a clear planning structure and cadence, taxonomy of portfolios, programs, products and projects to support the execution against these strategies. Your role will gain an end-to-end understanding across portfolios and your success will be in bringing together complex areas, using data to drive decision making and enabling our Recruiting organization to deliver significant impact in this area. Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.

Director, Portfolio Management & Insights, Recruiting Responsibilities

* Demonstrate ability to break down complex problems into simple elegant solutions, offering programmatic solutions that also bring together analytics rigor to ensure data driven decision making

* Act as they point of escalation across Portfolio and Insights teams including prioritizing, resourcing, managing expectations to ensure roadmaps are delivered against and driven to execution

* Remove major obstacles and resolve escalations of key issues and drive for effective decision making

* Collaborate and influence key cross functional stakeholders to ensure goals are met and develop programs to drive intended results

* Analytically driven to create clear measurement frameworks to show the impact of portfolios and of overall team contributions

* Prepare project correspondence and presentations for status reports, executive updates, annual planning cycles, key team meetings, etc.

* Coordinate across Recruiting Insights partners to develop a global strategy and roadmap for data dashboards to support overall delivery

* Establish and maintain standards and frameworks to drive cross functional alignment and clarity on ways of working

* Leadership over the Portfolio Management and Insights team, including hiring and people development

* Escalate trade-off decisions based on insights and portfolio performance, take initiative where appropriate and/or communicate recommendations

* Partner across all PMO teams and cross functional partners to share industry and internal best practices and build a culture of transparency and collaboration to drive teams to deliver at the next level

Minimum Qualifications

* 12+ years experience leading Project Management, Portfolio Management, Process Improvement strategy, Product team and development execution

* 5+ years of consulting experience

* 8+ years of people management experience, willing to be a coach and inspire team members

* Experience leading and growing teams from strategy through to operational execution

* Demonstrated scaling of expertise and best practices

* Leadership and interpersonal experience including building relationships with cross-functional teams

* Experience collaborating with and influence cross-functional teams to set objectives and produce results

* Demonstrated point of contact for leaders in the organization, ensure that we are aligning our insights to the strategic direction of the organization

* Leadership experience being the point of escalation for all work within the Portfolio and Insights team

* Experience in understanding user needs through techniques such as design thinking, agile methodologies, and lean practices

Preferred Qualifications

* B.A. or B.S. degree in business, HR, finance, change management, learning, org design, operations, or equivalent experience

* Experience working in a growth company
