The Client Council team is committed to exemplifying and building a strong customer first, customer best brand identity for Facebook's Global Business Group. Our brand is built on trust and supported through listening and aligning with our customers' feedback every day. The Industry Trade Associations are playing an increasingly critical role in leading change and driving progress so we have brought together both the Client Council and Industry trade association leaders into one team. As the marketing industry evolves and the issues become more complex, there is a need for a unified approach to develop solutions and proposals that can be scaled and adopted across the whole industry. Our Client Councils create an open atmosphere where we are able to share our vision while gathering feedback from the leading thinkers in the marketing industry to help shape our policy and product strategy. We host over 50 council meetings per year for our Global Client, Creative, Measurement and Policy Councils, as well as our Regional Councils in the UK, EMEA, Australia-New Zealand, Brazil, and India. These meetings result in a number of industry activations and innovation programs, which are also managed by the Client Council team. As a result of the ever-increasing role that the industry trades and industry coalitions are playing that are led by many of our advertiser and agency partners who also sit on our Global Client Council, we are looking for an experienced professional to lead the Global Client Council and help drive some of the key industry work coming out the Global Council Discussions. In this role, you will be responsible for setting the overall strategy for the Global Client Council from council composition to council discussion in collaboration with the Council Team Director, VP of Global Business Group, sales, product, policy, comms, creative and marketing science teams. You will also be responsible for building key relationship with the Council members and helping to drive progress on initiatives identified by the Council that could include working on industry initiatives. To aid in our teams initiatives, we are seeking to add a Global Client Council Lead who will focus on strategically partnering with the Director of the Client Council Team and VP of Global Business Marketing as well as leadership within and outside of GMS to deepen a conversation about the future of marketing with the most influential marketers globally. We are looking for someone who has the experience to build relationships internally and externally, who can help prioritize and synthesize key messages and who can drive deeper engagement with the Council and ultimately create stronger advocates. You will work closely to identify the most important messages that need to be communicated to our council and ultimately help craft the messaging. You will identify areas where the Council can come together to drive impact for the overall industry. You will be responsible for synthesizing feedback and ensuring it is shared with the appropriate stakeholders and that we close the loop from meeting to meeting. In this role you must be able to manage and influence stakeholders.

Global Client Council Lead Responsibilities

* Earn a place as a trusted advisor to our most influential customers and internal cross functional partners by engaging them in a conversation about the future of marketing that drives action that shapes the industry.

* Drive relationships and communication between our council members and our cross functional leaders throughout Facebook.

* Strategically advise and align internal teams on the Council strategy and the conversations we should be having with the Council.

* Keep account teams aligned with the industry as well as the council conversations that impact their clients.

* Drive activation programs and new partnership opportunities between Facebook and council members. When appropriate participate and lead in industry collation efforts.

* Craft communications for our Client Council on a myriad of different topics in partnership with our communications team.

* Strategically advise and develop narratives and conversations to be held during our Council meetings.

* Represent the Council internally to the appropriate stakeholders ensuring their feedback is taken into account.

* Help create the optimal composition for the Council so it represents our business strategically.

* Ensure councils are flawlessly executed from pre to post meeting including attendance (internal/external), client briefs, prep meetings, presentations, meeting notes and follow-up by working closely with your team members on the Client Council Team.

* Define, track and measure the value of the council against key KPIs.

* Willing to travel domestically and internationally 30-40% of the year when we are not virtual.

Minimum Qualifications

* 10+ years of experience in sales or marketing.

* Solid understanding of Facebooks mission and business.

* Knowledge in Facebooks business, power of the platform to drive business outcomes and plans.

* Proven leadership experience influencing, developing, and empowering others.

* Communication skills and experience conversing/building relationships with high level executives internally and externally on a regular basis.

* Track record at building best-in-class relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally.

* Demonstrated experience thinking strategically about new opportunities for Facebook and Councils, leading to thoughtful recommendations and action plans.

* Highly collaborative with experience delivering high service levels and successes to valued clients and internal stakeholders.

* Self-motivated, big thinker, entrepreneurial in nature and in ambiguous situations.

* Incredible attention to detail experience to product manage complex programs with multiple stakeholders internally and externally.
