Job Description

Instagram is seeking an experienced new addition to our Strategic Product and Planning, Media Partnerships team to lead strategy development, go-to-market planning, and coordinate execution for Instagram Shopping across creator-led media brands, traditional media brands, and strategic fashion and beauty partners in key target markets around the world. Excellent cross-functional leadership, demonstrated experience managing multiple concurrent projects, a track record of resilience under pressure, and comfort with a fast-paced, ambiguous environment is a must. This person should have empathy for people and businesses, as well as internal stakeholders like partner managers and product teams. The ideal candidate will also have E-commerce experience, a strong understanding of digital commerce platforms, and experience working with product teams. Candidates should bring a vision for how we can better meet the needs of our Media Partners with our Shopping and Commerce solutions.

Strategic Product & Planning, Instagram Media Partnerships - Instagram Shopping Responsibilities

* Partner with Instagram Shopping Product team, and teams it is reliant upon, to represent the needs of our global partnership base across all regions

* Distill and surface market feedback from a global team of partner managers, who work with an audience of the most impactful partners in media and entertainment, to influence product teams for new and existing Shopping products

* Set the outbound priorities for Shopping across Partnerships, socialize plans and drive alignment with partner teams to support those priorities, and ensure they ladder up to Instagrams overarching strategic goals

* Collaborate and execute go-to-market partnership plans with key stakeholders across Partnerships, Product, Marketing, and leadership

* Guide and partner with cross-functional teams (both global and regional) in developing internal and external communications, product documentation, and collateral to solve needs across multiple audiences

* Bring together large groups, often with different areas of focus and competing priorities, to align and execute against a common goal

* Craft briefing materials and present to leadership on a regular basis

* Execute decisions and deliver communications in an intense, fast-paced, and highly iterative environment

* 0 to 1 program management and process development

* Lead projects involving quantitative analysis, industry research and strategy development

Minimum Qualifications

* 7+ years experience in partnerships, operations, strategic planning, project management, go-to-market execution or relevant industry.

* Demonstrated experience contributing at both strategic and operational levels.

* Demonstrated experience in defining a program, requirements gathering, resource organization, and schedule development.

* Demonstrated track record of collaborating and building relationships.

* Demonstrated experience simplifying complex concepts and communicating across technical, business, and external stakeholders.

* Experience working cross-functionally and with leadership on results-driven initiatives.

* Experience analyzing data and using data to tell a story.

* Experience setting priorities, problem solving, multi-tasking, and working independently.

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience in strategy or general management in E-Commerce or Retail, at an E-Commerce platform, or in Consulting with a focus on retail and consumer goods.

* Demonstrated experience thinking creatively and strategically.

* Media industry experience working in Sports, Entertainment, News, or with Internet Creators.

* Deep understanding of Facebook's strategic and competitive position as well as the relevant broader markets.
