Developing, operating, and managing the data center infrastructure and facilities the right way is synonymous with ensuring high uptime, capacity availability, flexibility, and cost efficiency while maintaining a safe working environment. Facebook is seeking a Water Analyst to support cross-functional program efforts for the large and growing water global Data Center portfolio during pre-development, construction, and operations phases. This position will report directly to the Environment & Water Manager on the Global Energy and Site Selection team, and will work closely with our Water Program Managers and Water Managers.

Water Analyst Responsibilities

* Oversee data center water accounting and billing, including construction and operations (Purchase Orders, invoicing)

* Develop and oversee schedule and budget for water program (i.e., CapEx and OpEx)

* Monitor and support tool development for data center water and wastewater actual & forecasted usages

* Collect and analyze water/wastewater data for various purposes such as public reporting, compliance and water efficiency

* Monitor and support tool development for ensuring water and wastewater compliance (agreements, permits, pre-treatment requirements, etc.)

* Monitor and support process development for water flow meter mapping, setup and commissioning

* Monitor and support construction water milestones and Construction Civil QA/QC report review

* Organize and maintain water-related documentation for all phases of data center projects (pre- and post-development)

* Develop or assist in development of Integrated Water Management Plans for each data center site

* Monitor offsite water infrastructure project development

* Organize, review and evaluate water and wastewater monitoring data to compare against agreements, identify anomalies, and establish best practice

* Develop training and educational tools regarding water goals, compliance and awareness for diverse Facebook teams

* Develop and track metrics and tools to establish and track Key Performance Indicators for water program

* Monitor state and local policies that could affect water

* Conduct research related to regulations or initiatives affecting water or wastewater management

Minimum Qualifications

* Bachelors degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering

* E.I.T. or P.E. in civil or environmental engineering or related field

* 1+ years professional experience in water engineering, water resources management, hydrogeology, or water and wastewater infrastructure projects

* Experience in water use and/or wastewater management

* Experience in communication, organizational and program management

* Experience in multiple projects and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders

* Experience working in teams, and establishing and maintaining cross-functional and working relationships

* Experience in using Microsoft Excel

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience in data visualization tools (SQL, Tableau, or MATLAB)

* Experience in project management tools (Asana or Microsoft Project)
