Enforcement & Analytics Program Manager

Job Description

Facebook seeks an experienced, highly motivated professional with extensive data aggregation and analysis experience with a strong history in building a successful brand protection program from the ground up. This manager must be a highly analytical, detail-oriented self-starter who is comfortable working with business, legal and technical teams to fulfill Facebooks expansive and evolving online brand protection needs. Candidates should have experience with some of the following: mitigating online abuse and contributing to DNS security, including enforcement and abuse mitigation in one or more areas domain names, marketplaces, ads, paid search, social media and mobile apps. Must have experience creating and improving brand protection enforcement systems and workflows, particularly where we see the most DNS abuse: Distributed Denial of Service Attacks (DDoS), Spam, Phishing, Malware and Botnets. This position will be responsible for executing DNS protection policies and help manage the strategy, framework, monitoring and enforcement of all relevant policies and procedures. Experience working for a brand protection, internet, technology and/or media company, or with such companies, is a plus. Candidates should be team-oriented with strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Enforcement & Analytics Program Manager Responsibilities

* Manage vendor data, internal tools, and database information for our global, online enforcement programs that protect the Facebook family of companies and our users in the domain, marketplace, ad, paid search, social media, mobile app and related arenas. This includes managing and collaborating with external and internal cross-functional teams, review and investigate suspicious activity and take corrective action, and support escalated enforcement projects, including initiatives to achieve high-volume abuse mitigation objectives

* Analyze data to track the registration, use and abuse of domain names, apps and related internet identifiers, to achieve enforcement and workflow improvements

* Track and analyze data for trends and compilation of statistics plus KPI reports

* Prepare regular status reports for internal and external reporting

* Conduct research, as requested, to support development of relevant standards, policies and best practices

* Work with internal security, engineering and other technical teams to enhance detection mechanisms that will help evolve and implement enforcement strategies for DNS and related internet identifiers

* Document processes and protocols and create information and training materials for same to maximize user adoption and educate relevant stakeholders

Minimum Qualifications

* Advanced DNS/IP experience

* Experience with data analysis, compilation of statistics, reporting and identifying trends

* Experience with online abuse mitigation and IP protection, including enforcement strategies involving domains, marketplaces, ads, search and mobile apps

* Experience with the domain name registration pipeline, including related security requirements and protocols

* Experience directly advising business stakeholders on domain name acquisition, usage and protection

* Experience with DNS business processes, domain name and mobile app operations, databases, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint)

Preferred Qualifications

* Bachelors Degree

* 5+ years of DNS/IP experience

* Tech-savvy, background in data science or engineering is preferred

* Analytical, problem solving, and multi-tasking skills

* Experience working in a fast-paced, high stakes environment managing a large and varied workload with minimal supervision, and experience acting quickly, decisively and collaboratively with multiple stakeholders

* Team player with experience working in a multi-cultural, global environment

* Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances and comfort with ambiguity
