Instagram seeks a Product Marketing Manager to join our Small Medium Business product team. Our team is building free and paid tools that help businesses and creators on Instagram connect with customers and fans to drive real-world business value. In this product area, you will be focused on building and launching new products and experiences that make it easier to manage their presence on Instagram and turn their passion into a living. Product Marketing Managers are responsible for serving as the customer point of view in product development (inbound work) as well as leading go-to-market strategy (outbound work). In this role, you will be focused on identifying key market opportunities, establishing a business case for new products, and leading go-to-market strategies that unlock those opportunities and tools used by tens of millions of businesses and creators. This is a high-priority product area that will see large go-to-market (GTM) launches in the next 6-18 months.

The ideal candidate will have a multi-disciplinary backgroundincluding business strategy, product marketing and analytical skills, have experience working on business products, and be passionate about helping small businesses from across the world turn their passion into a living. S/He will bring deep insight about the tools that businesses use to operate and grow on Instagram, and should be passionate about building best-in-class experiences. Were looking for a big-picture thinker and strong problem solver who can partner cross-functionally and cross-teams to drive results. Excellent analytical and communication skills and comfort with ambiguity are a must.

Product Marketing Manager, SMB (Instagram) Responsibilities

* Identify and build a strategic view of long-term opportunities based on market research, quantitative analysis and qualitative feedback to prioritize product opportunities

* Demonstrate a strong understanding of the broader Facebook ecosystem and competitive landscape to develop strategic product feedback and positioning

* Plan and lead alpha/beta testing to feed early insights back to product that accelerate product-market fit

* Lead comprehensive go-to-market strategy and drive product adoption (via marketing campaigns, partner activation, press releases, blog posts, scaled education, etc.) in collaboration with large cross functional teams

* Catch unanticipated issues that arise along the way and see them through to resolution

* Collaborate closely with partner teams to build great product experiences that span org lines and address customer needs holistically

Minimum Qualifications

* BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience

* 4+ years of work experience, with a background in strategy consulting, marketing, and/or analytics/data science

* Flexible team player who thrives in a fast-paced, often ambiguous, environment

* Demonstrated experience collaborating and influencing partners and managing key stakeholders

* Experience evaluating and delivering a POV on complex problems, leveraging structure, data analytics, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

* MBA

* 2+ years of experience working in a product marketing or product management capacity (working closely with product team and/or sales)

* Experience developing and executing launch plans on a large, global scale

* Experience contributing to the strategic direction of business products

* Interest in small businesses
