Job Description

As a custom silicon Power Management Integrated Circuit Architect at Facebook you will work with a world-class group of engineers creating high performance and area/power efficient designs for leading-edge AR chips and systems. You will work with cross-functional teams and external vendors to define, develop and productize custom power management solutions that offer the best-in-class power efficiency and form factor.

Power Management Integrated Circuit Architect Responsibilities

* Collaborate with custom SOC teams, system architects, system engineering teams to establish custom power management IC specifications per system requirements

* Lead efforts to define, develop and characterize custom power management ICs that integrate DCDC converters, LDOs, ADCs, charge pumps, chargers, fuel gauge, clocking circuits etc.

* Work collaboratively with external vendors to ensure design quality and on-time delivery

* Work collaboratively with external vendors and internal teams on new technology initiatives and push technology envelope for power efficiency and form factor

* Ability to communicate clearly

* Ability to travel both domestically and internationally up to 20% of the time

Minimum Qualifications

* 10+ years of experience in integrated power management solutions for mobile market

* Proven understanding of device physics, power circuit topologies, control architectures, low power techniques and digital state machines

* Solid experience with digital and analog IC circuit design, tools and methodology

* Solid experience with mixed-signal verification methodology and power regulator modeling techniques

* Knowledge in IC process technologies, reliability and qualification testing, failure analysis

* Knowledge in advanced packaging technologies

* Knowledge in package and board layout, component selection, thermal analysis, PDN analysis

* Masters degree in EE or similar

Preferred Qualifications

* Ph.D. degree in EE or similar

* Experience in high volume manufacturing
