Dow has an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Mechanic at the Louisville, KY location.

Job Summary:

The purpose of this job is to repair and replace instrument, electrical, and mechanical systems, including piping and machinery supporting operating plants and utilities.

Key Responsibilities:

* Maintaining and repairing instruments, motors, valves, rotating equipment and all equipment necessary for the chemical plant operation
* Troubleshooting
* Preventive maintenance
* General construction

Required Qualifications:

* Current, valid US driver's license.
* Able to Work rotating and straight shifts (work assignments may include rotating and straight shifts).
* Willing and able to travel as needed, which may consist of trips between departments and plants.
* A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.

Physical Requirements:
Able to meet the following physical demands of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations:

* Lift, push, and pull up to 55 lbs.
* Frequent bending, reaching, and lifting
* Stand 50% of the time.
* Walk for extended periods of time
* Work at heights, climb stairs and ladders.
* Work in tight and closed in spaces.
* Wear all required personal protective equipment, including but not limited to respirator.
* Work in an area of intense or continuous noise.
* Work in an area with hazardous materials

Preferred Qualifications:

* Associate's degree in a maintenance, electrical or I&E discipline.
* 4 or more years of relevant military experience.
* 1 or more years of maintenance work experience in a chemical plant, packaging facility or a skilled trade using similar skills such as a Pipefitter, Millwright, Electrician, or HVAC technician.

Education:

* High School diploma or equivalent is required.
