Job Title: Production Supervisor

Location: South Chesterfield VA

What were looking for:

We are looking for a person responsible for optimizing manufacturing processes while improving safety, quality, and productivity methods while actively contributing to achieve key performance indicators and company goals.

What youll be responsible for in this role:

* Ability to have positive interaction with all subordinates, peers, other department/shift, and superiors.
* Support, communicate, implement, sustain, and consistently enforce all company policies/procedures.
* Build and sustain good morale and attitudes among all reporting associates.
* Initiate requisitions for open positions. Interview and determine best candidate for position.
* Documentation of associate skills and knowledge
* Ability to capture/analyze data regarding productivity -Understand through observations the causes for high and low productivity.
* Aware of trends regarding high, low and stagnant productivity.
* Understand production requirements and direct resources appropriately to procure shipment items.
* Communicate decisions with data and documentation.
* Present rationale and experience utilized regarding your perspective/opinion.
* Maintain production schedule, meeting both quality and productivity requirements.
* Maintain good inventory control procedures for all raw material that may be required in assignment department(s).
* Keep accurate timekeeping in HRMS. Plan, organize and coordinate shift activities
* Train production associates on the job to perform up to quality, productivity and housekeeping standards.
* Enforce safety rules, practices and procedures to assure safety of associates, buildings, grounds and machinery.
* Other duties as assigned.

What are the basic qualifications?

* Minimum of three (3) years manufacturing supervisory/leadership experience.

To be a great fit for the role:

* AS400, Microsoft Office Suite skills preferred (Word, Excel).
* Experience working from production checklist, diagrams, schematics, drawings, specifications and other documentation is a must.
* Ability to work in a fast paced environment and deal with stressful situations.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills.
* Must have a high level of attention to detail.
* May be required to perform specific tasks that involve standing, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, squatting or kneeling.
* Must be able to lift with or without mechanical aids on a recurring basis (up to 50 lbs).
* Work is performed within a production environment, subject to temperature variations, hazardous chemicals, mechanical parts, increased noise levels and dust.
