General Function:

Responsible for the mechanical design and development of Upgrade, Conversion, and Configurable BOMs / kits for all Standard Products. Assist Service and Sales in technical discussions on same product. Properly document all designs by project using existing files and formats. Must follow ISO procedures and work instructions. Willing to travel internationally as needed.

Primary Responsibilities:

* Mechanical development of Upgrade, Conversion, and Configurable BOMs / kits for all Standard Product in accord with ISO Work Instructions.
* Responsible for obtaining info and/or electrical BOM from Electrical Engineering when applicable to complete a BOM. Electrical Engineering to provide BOM
* Development of designs, BOMs and drawings associated with upgrades, and conversions to Standard product equipment.
* Assist Sales and Marketing, as well as Service in customer oriented technical discussions to aid in the growth of kit sales and customer knowledge base.
* Assist in the continuous process improvement of Belvacs Standard product line.
* Analyze database of worldwide can lines and identify to Sales Staff, opportunities for conversion kit sales as well as new product enhancements based on region and need.
* Liaison with Engineering regarding new product enhancements.
* Working with the Service Manager, create a plan for Service personnel to effectively introduce and sell conversion kits to our customer base as well as tracking measures for effectiveness. This is to include all documentation pertinent for service personnel to properly represent our product.
* Attend all Engineering Dept meetings and other cross-functional meetings as required.
* Attend Sales and Marketing weekly meetings
* Develops new products based on standard equipment. i.e. product extensions of existing designs or enhancements to new products to backwards compatible across older equipment installed in the marketplace.
* Must be fluent in English both speaking and written forms
* Speaking a second language a plus
* Other assigned duties as required.

Education:

Must have a BSME or equivalent 5-year experience in related field. Must be proficient in AutoCAD R14 (or later) and Inventor 2018 or equivalent. Must be proficient in 3d modeling and drafting. Autodesk Inventor 2012 (or later) Strongly Preferred. Must be familiar with industry design drafting standards including ISO and ASME Y14.5 (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing). Must have good technical written communication skills. Must have good technical verbal presentation skills.

Experience:

Typical Microsoft Office software. Knowledge of ISO 9001. Design Experience in high speed rotating machinery. Knowledge of CE (European Safety Standards). Knowledge of Belvac Standard Product Machinery.
