Job Title: Senior Technical Writer

Location: Conyers, GA

What we are looking for:

We are looking for a Technical Writer who will report to the Director of Marketing Programs, Dover Food Retail and with guidance provided by the Corporate Trainer, Manager. This position will be responsible for developing and implementing training and product knowledge curriculum for various industry audiences. This position requires an experienced technical communicator who possess the ability to research, gather, and synthesize technical information and express it in a clear, concise, and efficient manner.

The focus of this position will be on the creation and development of training manuals, installation and operational manuals, research papers, and various supplemental materials such as tests and evaluations; teaching aids; and student guides and outlines to enhance learner understanding of the material and training.

An essential attribute of the person in this position is the ability to closely coordinate with Subject Matter Experts to ensure accuracy and suitability in the process of developing materials.

What you will be responsible for in this role:

* Ability to write and develop training curriculum including:
* Training Manuals
* Online Program Content
* Tests and Evaluations
* Video Scripts and Storyboards
* Interactive Video Modules
* Teaching Aids and Student Guides
* Website Content
* Installation and Operations Manual (as needed)
* Plan and develop new online programs and curriculum and adjust existing online courses and curriculum.
* Integrate graphical concepts, images and other highly visual means to simplify user comprehension and retention of product and process characteristics, features and corresponding benefits.
* Perform routine review of training materials and enhance as necessary.
* Organize and maintain learning center product library and keep versioning up-to-date as projects evolve and review.

What are the basic qualifications?

* Bachelors Degree
* 8+ years of appropriate technical writing experience in a manufacturing and/or service-related training environment.

* Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality documentation with great attention to critical technical details.
* Highly developed writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
* Ability and understanding of graphical design and layout.
* Ability to read, interpret and analyze common scientific and technical information and specification documents.
* Demonstrated proficiency to interview personnel, collect and clarify information and organize it into a clear, documented output.
* Motivated to learn unfamiliar technologies and material with a positive, self-motivated attitude.
* Flexibility to quickly change focus to address pressing technical issues.
* Ability to read and understand technical drawings and diagrams.
* Strong demonstrated ability in key software applications relevant to the generation of applicable training materials including, but not limited to: Adobe Creative Suite products, specifically InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat.
* Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
* Experience in food retail and/or commercial refrigeration is a plus.
