Materials Supervisor

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

* Supervise and coordinate activities of shipping and receiving clerks engaged in verifying and keeping records on incoming and outgoing shipments, and preparing products for shipment.
* Work closely with manufacturing and purchasing teams to ensure materials are delivered as per the established lead times.
* Coordinate activities of material handlers to ensure daily requirements and objectives are met.
* Manage third party warehouse inventory.
* Manage and improve on-time delivery at levels to ensure customer satisfaction.
* Responsible for receiving and initiating the RMA approval process.
* Initiate and follow through completion of freight claims against carrier for shortages,

damages and overages.

* Participate in physical inventories of warehouses and/or supply yard.
* Champion EM-WEB portal for on-line parts ordering. Work closely with ASAs and Depots to resolve any ordering issues with SMG.
* Communicate parts and accessories work order requirements to scheduling for timely production of service parts and accessories.
* Build relationship with the sales, purchasing, manufacturing, production, quality, rep groups, service agencies & parts distributors. Keeping these individuals informed in a timely manner.
* Responsible for the supervision of subordinates. This includes responsibility for their safety, work results, career planning and advancement, training, reviews, and disciplinary actions.
* Develop, implement and oversee the policies for the Shipping and Receiving Department.
* Ensure that commitments on projects are met.
* Minimum travel required.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

* Advance knowledge of computer software including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Oracle.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to work independently with little supervision.
* Must be a pro-active, hands-on manager with ability to follow through.
* Knowledge of food equipment parts and products.
* Ability to work well with all departments.
* Exceptional analytical capabilities to perform root cause analysis.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

* Bachelors degree in business, engineering or a technical field is required.
* Minimum five years experience in a leadership role.
* Minimum of five years experience in the foodservice industry.
* Minimum of two years of customer service experience.
