Job Title: Sheet Metal Worker 1
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Department: Manufacturing
Reports To: Department Manager
SUMMARY:
Assembles, installs and repairs sheet metal products, parts and equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Assembles panel boxes, exhaust fans, house doors, damper hoods and makes pan rings according to job order
* Smooths burred surfaces with files and grinders
* Lay and attach metal or wood flooring and/or covering
* Apply primer, paint, varnish and caulk as needed
* Perform close up requirements
* Other duties as assigned
ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
* Ability to understand structural drawings
* Understanding of 6S
* Basic math skills
* Basic reading/writing skills
* Knowledge of basic hand tools
* Ability to read/understand a tape measure
* Ability to use a paintbrush
* Ability to operate air assisted paint gun
* Knowledge of different types of flooring/wood
* Knowledge and understanding of metal types and gauging
* Ability to utilize pneumatic/hydraulic hand tools
* Ability to operate a forklift
* Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and three to six months related experience and/or training.
