Summary:

This role will partner with Bearings Plus General Manager to drive cost efficiencies and improve profitability. The Finance Analyst will work under supervision of the Sr Finance Manager and will assist with projects as assigned.

Responsibilities:

* Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules according to monthly close schedule and reporting requirements. Ensure revenue and expenses are properly recorded in the financial statements.
* Preparation of annual budgets and monthly preparation of remaining year forecast estimates.
* Conduct various sales analyses on: customers, products, pricing and market, as well as financial forecast modeling to support a growing business.
* Perform manufacturing variance analysis to determine product line profitability and mix impact on profits. Investigate and report on root causes of variances.
* Ensure accurate and complete tracking of Productivity Improvements related to the Houston operations.
* Analyze the manufacturing operations including interpreting and communicating cost and expense variances to management. Analyze variable costs and make appropriate budget / forecast adjustments. Assist in the maintenance of cost data and preparation of reports.
* Responsible for monthly accounting close, including journal entry preparation, account reconciliations and results load into parent company consolidation software (Khalix).
* Prepare departmental expense analysis report for Plant management and Controller review. Research and investigate variances as needed.
* Evaluate plant capital appropriation requests; assist in the preparation of financial models and business case justifications.
* Works closely with Supply Chain to balance optimal inventory levels against operating costs and efficiencies.
* Participate with local management on inventory management, scrap control and quality meetings and analysis.
* Develop and review Overhead Rates. Perform capacity analysis.
* Prepare and report Corporate tax provision, deferred tax calculations and annual tax package.
* Ascertain plant assets are properly accounted for and safeguarded from loss including participating in annual physical inventory and fixed asset inventory.
* Identify and implement process improvements within back office functions. Participate in Lean efforts within the department and broader organization.
* Establish and maintain good internal controls. Maintain accounting records and process in compliance with Dover Corporation internal control requirements. Periodically audit and test controls as assigned. Comply with Sarbanes Oxley procedures and supply data timely for audit.

Qualifications:

* Bachelors Degree in Accounting
* Minimum of 3 years experience in related industry/field

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

* Intermediate to advance Excel skills
* Proficient in remaining Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, etc)
* Ability to work with a high degree of confidentiality
* High attention to detail & accuracy
* Must be knowledgeable with Generally Accepted Accounting Principals
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
