Job Summary
The Team Lead Production is responsible for overseeing day to day activities of assigned crew/shift within the plant CPS Operating System. Primary responsibilities include ensuring a safe work environment, producing a quality product at the lowest cost, coaching & developing the workforce to deliver customer orders on time while fostering a culture of continuous process improvement. Leads production teams on assigned shifts to ensure production guidelines are being met within established timing, quality, and cost standards. 3 years related experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (not all inclusive):
* Oversees all Safety, Quality, and Production efforts during the shift
* Expands Safety culture within crew. Ensures fulfillment of all safety training and requirements.
* Ensures delivery and tracking/documentation of performance results for shift
* Achieve target Safety metrics
* Achieve target Quality metrics
* Achieve target OEE
* Achieve target Attainment
* Achieve target Shipping metrics
* Sets direction/plan for each shift considering: production schedule, staffing changes, etc. Leads coordination of functions across crew: Production, Quality, Sanitation, and Warehouse
* Ensures and administers proper staffing: Ex) determines staffing needs and finalizes schedule, administers PTO requests and Kronos
* Leads communication of crew needs and results with the Cell Leads, and other Leadership
* Carries out implementation of identified Continuous Improvement initiatives within Crew
* Identifies/ anticipates skill-gaps within key roles on crew and leads plan for closure
* Becomes qualified to perform skilled jobs
* Evaluate subordinate performance, communicate with employees, and provide information for work performance improvement.
* Participate in CPS initiatives
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
* Preferred: experience in SAP, Kronos, Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and related software.
* High school diploma or GED equivalent required. Bachelors' degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering, Food Science, Agricultural Sciences, or other Natural Science degrees preferred. Other degrees will be considered.
* Two years+ supervisory experience preferred.
* Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred.
* Understanding of manufacturing processes and loss
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem solving and organizational skills.
