Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Able to operate and troubleshoot the wrapper
* Able to properly change the film roles
* Maintain the proper heat to the sealer to ensure properly sealed packages
* Able to operate and troubleshoot the Cartoner
* Able to set up and change code dates on the Cartoner
* Able to maintain the proper glue supply and temperature to the Cartoner
* Able to perform all quality checks and enter the data into the computer
* Weights
* Code dates
* Able to operate and troubleshoot the case packer
* Able to get supplies and raw materials and enter data into the computer
* Have a Forklift certification
* Able to clean and sanitize all packaging equipment, including freezers according to GMPS
* Able to perform routine maintenance and preventive maintenance:
* Troubleshoot fault indicators
* Assist technical technicians with repairs and projects
* Lubrication- oil and grease
* Belt adjustments
* Scale calibrations
* Autonomous PM tasks
* Take part in improvement teams (Kaizen, TPM, etc.)
* Etc.
* Able to calibrate, test and adjust the X-Ray machine and take appropriate actions when it is not working correctly
* Able to fill out paperwork to track production, quality, downtime and other requirements, and enter the data in the appropriate computer program
* Actively work in a team environment:
* Live by the teams principles
* Support and help team members
* Give and receive feedback, etc.
* Demonstrate excellent communications skills
* Train new members on the team
* Perform all quality checks
* Able to explain product flow from the Bakery to the Warehouse
* Ability to accomplish Master Sanitation (MSS) duties as required
* 1st Level troubleshooting of Freezer issues
* Maintain inventory records and ensure rotation of materials for 100% traceability
* Understand and follow all SOPs AND GMPs for producing Quality product; report deviations and take appropriate corrective measures
* Actively work to continuously improve the production processes
* Help coordinate schedules, department start-ups, shut-downs and cleaning
* Work to attain production and quality goals
* Able to change and adjust code dates for 100% traceability
* Verify product being produced matches production codes and materials being used
* Help coordinate staffing schedule to ensure proper vacation, absenteeism and overtime needs consistent with Company policies and procedures
* Responsible for ensuring all work is performed in a safe and efficient manner, consistent with Company safety procedures and expected behaviors
* Provide feedback on team member performance
* Participate in the hiring process for team members
* Other duties as assigned

Education and / or Experience:

High School diploma or general education degree (GED).

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardizations exist. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
