Provides oversight for multiple hospital departments in the absence of unit management. Addresses patient care, staffing, and any other issues that may arise. Supervises nurses and staff and takes administrative responsibilities. Leads and directs the work of others. Bachelor's degree in nursing. At least 5-7 years of experience. Licensure as a registered nurse (RN).

* Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required
* Current Pennsylvania Registered Nurse license required
* Bachelors Degree in Nursing or related field preferred
* Three (3) years experience in acute care nursing required
* BLS certification must be completed prior to the end of orientation period
* Nurse management experience preferred
* Required abilities: managerial skills, clinical expertise, teach/instruct, clerical accuracy, communication skills, listening abilities, independent thinking/sound judgment; ability to deal with stress, able to react to emergency and crisis situations, committed to quality of care
