Job Description
The Administrative Laboratory Director provides overall management and strategic leadership of the Medical Laboratory Services throughout the facility and affiliated service lines. Representing Medical Laboratory Services, the Lab Director is responsible for facility-wide oversight of the medical lab testing processes and patient safety, compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards associated with Medical Laboratory Services and the diagnostic testing processes, budgetary duties and fiscal performance of Medical Laboratory Services, leadership of Laboratory team members, resource development and implementation of laboratory process changes and establishment, measurement, reporting and audit of the Medical Laboratory Performance Metrics.

As required by clinical laboratory profession. Bachelor's degree in a clinical laboratory discipline is strongly preferred. Master's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration or related discipline is preferred. Five (5) years of health system diagnostic medical laboratory experience is required. Two (2) years of medical laboratory management experience is strongly preferred. Nationally recognized certification as designated by clinical degree.
