Job Location: Phoenix Arizona office or Remote, Work from home, United States

Summary:

This role will be responsible for supporting the management and organization of Cigna Medical Group strategy. You will work directly with leadership of business units, coordinating efforts and initiatives with matrixed partners. Projects can range in content, including (but not limited to) data, technology, business operation, clinical operations, finance, process development and implementation, and quality program design. Comfort in and prior exposure to Healthcare Business will support strong performance in this role.

Responsibilities:

* Develop and maintain detailed project plans, activities and monitor progress against all activities throughout the project/program lifecycle.

* Track and report on project status, including budget, as required.

* Utilize project management methodology, tools and techniques to manage projects.

* Conduct daily oversight and provide directions to project resources and activities.

* Build and maintain working relationships with functional areas outside of Cigna Medical Group.

* Apply change management discipline to all appropriate facets of a project lifecycle and partner with leaders as needed.

* Assess project performance against measures of success.

* Maintain project issues/risk logs, implement mitigation strategies, and confirm all issues are resolved appropriately

* Evaluate project status, resource utilization and implementation of changes to improve the teams effectiveness.

* Provide assistance in the area of resource planning to ensure appropriate team size and capabilities are maintained.

* Manage third-party partner and/or vendor relationships, as necessary.

* Chair regular project meetings to review progress and priorities.

* Ensure the use of best practices and apply lessons learned from previous projects.

* Ensure a positive, collaborative work environment for the project team and matrix partners.

* Provide consultative services to stakeholder to safeguard against scope creep.

* Draft communication(s) for leaders to ensure customers, stakeholders and resources are aware of changes impacting the project

* Develop presentation and present status of project as appropriate

Qualifications:

* Bachelors Degree with 3 years of project management/related experience or 7 years of work- related strong project management experience

* Experience working in Healthcare strongly preferred

* Strong experience coordinating internal resources and vendors for flawless execution of the projects

* Ability to think strategically, work in ambiguous situations and respond favorably to change , execute efficiently , work on deadline pressure and manage multiple projects

* Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio, PowerPoint and Project.

* Analytical skill set and competency required

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills

* Establishes and maintains strong relationships with work stream partners across the company along with the ability to challenge them to drive alignment on execution of deliverables

* Ability to multi task and work competing priorities simultaneously

Preferred:

* Knowledge of Agile methodology preferred

* PMP certification a plus

* Lean Six Sigma certification a plus

* Change Management Certification a plus

This position is not eligible to be performed in Colorado.
