Medicare National Director & Broker Strategist - Work from home

Job Description

The Broker Sales Strategist at Cigna Medicare will be a critical team member responsible for making Cigna Medicare a market leader in the Medicare Advantage space. This individual will be part of a rapidly growing business unit that will execute on Cigna Medicares broker distribution strategy with Field Marketing Organizations (FMOs) and other topline distributors.

Remote, Work from Home, United States

Travel: 50% Nationally (must be located close to major airport)

Medicare experience, required.

Valid Health Insurance License

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Develop and coordinate the implementation of sales and expansion strategies for top-tier Medicare Advantage FMO partners and affiliated provider network.
* Formulate win strategies based on a deep understanding of our competition and their strategic implications within the Medicare Advantage space.
* Drive the business development of downline agency partners by collaborating with Sales and regional leadership.
* Expand the hierarchy and our current distribution partner footprint within expansion markets to accelerate revenue growth.
* Manage performance of FMO partners and hold them accountable to deliver best in class results.
* Hold matrix partners accountable for achieving growth and strategic objectives as outlined annually.
* Development and execute a strategy for investment of a multi-million dollar co-op marketing budget with key partners.
* Coordinate and partner with business partners to build a best in class experience for our distributors.
* Work with team to build opportunities and synergy across the distribution channel continuum.
* Manage relationship with matrix partners that enhance opportunities and growth with the distribution unit.

QUALIFICATIONS:

* Bachelors degree or equivalent, relevant work experience.
* Seasoned, respected leader with 8 or more years of experience in the senior market preferred.
* Medicare Broker experience required.
* Experience in business development and the execution of sales forecasting related to Medicare Advantage external business partners.
* Deep knowledge of industry leading FMOs in the Senior space.
* Experience with Medicare call centers - Carrier Relations, preferred
* Negotiation and expansion experience preferred.
* Marketing investment experience preferred.
* Management experience preferred.
* Strong communication, interpersonal, presentation and speaking skills.
* Build strong working relationships with internal and external partners, driving positive energy through influential leadership.
* Demonstrated expertise in a wholesale distribution model.
* Strategic thinker capable of developing long term and best in class distribution relationships.
* Proven ability to develop relationships across all levels of the organization and with matrix partners.
* Demonstrated ability to influence others and utilize resources to accomplish tasks.
