Summary

The Business Analytics Advisor position is an opportunity for an analytics professional to lead complex analytics projects and initiatives. This role will work within an innovative team focused on executing the vision of how advanced analytics will lead Cignas Medicare segment to achieve our strategic goals.

Reporting to the Business Analytics Manager, this role will work collaboratively within our Health Services & Revenue Management team to develop analytics solutions through innovative data science, and complex analytic driven processes and will be responsible for the execution of work in support of the Clinical Programs Analytics Strategy, the integration of a new enterprise-wide population health care model.

Responsibilities

* Provide expert content/professional leadership on complex Business Analytics assignments/projects

* Perform complex data research and analysis to support business operations

* Focus on providing leadership within Business Analytics with the ability to work on broader projects, which require understanding of broader business strategy

* Perform analytics processes, including data and analytic development

* Develop and Document analytic solutions that meet the basic needs of the business and identify trends in large data sets

* Analyze results and present analytics in a consumable method using overview, major takeaways, major questions, and next steps

* Exhibit full understanding of data and leverage data in an appropriate way (correct sources, clear assumptions, approved by business)

* Understand how our analytics affect the broader business and bridge gap between data science and stakeholders

* Maintain analytics skillset through investigating new technologies, modeling techniques, and apply them to our work

Qualifications

* 6+ years industry experience solving business problems through the application of analytic approaches

* Required experience in healthcare reporting & analytics

* Advanced analytics experience providing content/professional leadership on complex assignments/projects

* exercising considerable creativity, foresight, and judgment in conceiving, planning, and delivering initiatives; uses deep analytics knowledge and acumen to advise functional leaders; focuses on providing thought leadership within own discipline but works on broader projects, which require understanding of wider business

* Experience with relevant technology/software such as SQL, Teradata and Tableau to wrangle data, perform analytics, and visualize for consumption

* Demonstrated experience in challenging problems and driving outstanding results

* Proven ability to work collaboratively in complex matrix organizations and agile teams

This position is not eligible to be performed in Colorado.
