JOB SUMMARY

The Sr. Account Executive manages the overall contract and relationship with Prime and Prime Health Plan clients. This position is the Specialty Solutions owner of the Growth, strategic renewal plan, development of long term account strategy and lead in meeting client needs. The Sr. Account Executive is responsible for leading the identification of business solutions that meet client needs and incorporating such into the annual strategic plan using their in depth knowledge and specialized expertise. They are also responsible for client retention, customer satisfaction and achieving corporate strategic goals relative to their book of business. The Sr. Account Executive serves as the client expert and a resource for others within the organization. They share best practices to contribute to development of others and provide forward-thinking leadership designed to move the business forward.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Manage Client Relationship: Serves as the face of Accredo with ongoing communication to the client as necessary to maintain and grow relationship thereby, ensuring client retention. Uses in-depth knowledge and expertise to manage and strengthen complex client relationships to ensure satisfaction levels are met. Builds relationships with consultants and benefit advisors.

Strategic Planning: Accountable for the coordination and development of complex client-specific strategic plan and ongoing monitoring of plan with adjustments made as necessary. Serve as account strategist for assigned accounts both internally and externally. Uses advanced experience to develop an understanding of products, benefits, and services to determine business solutions that meet client needs, expansions and maximize opportunities for revenue growth.

Growth and Retention: Responsible for complex client renewals, targeting business solutions within the strategic plan that meet client needs, obtain and demonstrate subject matter expertise for targeted solution in order to drive expansions and overall revenue growth. Ability to gain support and commitment of others. Negotiates skillfully in tough situations.

Cross Functional Partnership: Accountable for activities of internal Account Management team and extended team members as related to client strategic objectives and escalated service issues. Foster relationships internally with Sr. Leadership, finance, operations, and other internal partners to meet client needs.

Business Insight Applies knowledge of business and the marketplace to advance the organizations goals .Knows how the business works and how organization makes money. Keeps up with current and possible future policies, practices, innovations, and trends in the organization, with the competition, and in the marketplace. Uses expert knowledge of business drivers to guide actions.

Leadership - Shares advanced best practices and industry standards with broader AE audience and clients. Demonstrates understanding and interpretation of current industry trends and information. Assumes leadership role in developing and implementing process improvement initiatives. Provides mentoring and training of Associate AEs, including, interviewing prospective AE candidates.

QUALIFICATIONS

* Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
* 10-14 years relevant experience or Masters degree with 6-10 years relevant experience
* Pharmacist License preferred, but not required
* Technically savvy - PC skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

* Superior written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
* Proven ability to be highly organized, analytical, and interpretative and demonstrate time management
* Ability to drive results through leveraging effective influence, leadership, negotiation, and relationship skills
* Willingness to travel as needed to meet business needs

This position is not eligible to be performed in Colorado.
