CHS Ag Services has an exciting opportunity in our Country Operations Division. We are looking for a Automotive Technician to join our growing team. You must have excellent communication skills, be mechanically inclined, and customer focused.
You Will:
* Promote the sales and services of the Car-Care department.
* Provide excellent customer service, work with customers in courteous and professional manner at all times, build and maintain strong relationships.
* Promote a safe work environment and conduct bi-monthly safety meetings.
* Guarantee accurate and timely vehicle diagnosis, maintenance and repairs.
* Ensure work orders are complete and billed out in a timely manner.
* Assist customers with roadside services up to but not limited to Jumpstarts, Fuel, and Vehicle Lockouts.
* Oversee the sale, removal, and replacement of tires for vehicles including commercial vehicles.
* Maintain proper margins on inventory and physical inventory counts.
* Perform equipment repair and preventative maintenance (ex. Refrigeration coils, A/C filters, and Diesel/Gas Pumps).
* Learn how to diagnose and repair basic systems to become certified in a minimum of 5 areas with a preference for brakes, alignments, suspensions, cooling and electrical.
* Mount, dismount, and install tires and tire/wheel assemblies.
* Change oil and/or transmission fluid and filters.
* Install batteries and checks electrical systems.
* Install and perform tire maintenance or repair.
* Install parts which include shock absorbers and exhaust systems.
* Perform vehicle road tests.
* Load and unload tires on and off trucks.
* Reconcile purchase orders with delivery invoices.
* Maintain upkeep and appearance of shop's customer waiting areas, all bays and public areas.
* Work on weekly and monthly projects.
* Perform other duties or jobs as needed or assigned.
Basic Qualifications: (required)
* 2 years of automotive repair and maintenance experience
* Ability to work a variety of shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
* Ability to work extended hours as needed
* Ability to lift up to 100lbs
* Ability to climb ladders and stairs
* Ability to bend, crouch, and kneel for extended periods
Preferred Qualifications: (desired)
* Maintenance background a plus
