Wholesale Banking provides financial solutions to businesses across the United States and globally. Our four major business lines include Corporate & Investment Banking, Commercial Banking, Commercial Real Estate, and Wells Fargo Commercial Capital. We also have groups in credit risk, group risk, finance, marketing, human relations, and the Wholesale Chief Operating Office that support our businesses.

Equities Sales and Trading is looking for an event trader to join our growing equity platform. The candidate will work closely with the event driven senior trader, sales & sales trader, equity research, and the event desk analyst to further firms efforts in the event driven equities space. The candidate should have 3+ years of experience in Equities/event driven strategies. The ideal candidate may have experience/relationships with event driven HFs and institutional accounts. The candidate should be an excellent communicator and comfortable working across teams and products. They should have a deep market knowledge and understanding of both hard and soft catalysts within the event space. A familiarity with capital and market structures and a demonstrated ability analyze complex trading strategies is expected.

They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following and adhering to applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business units risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.

Required Qualifications
* 5+ years of experience in capital markets, industry experience within the specific sector of the position, or a combination of both
* A BS/BA degree or higher

* Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
* Strong analytical and quantitative skills

* Series 7, 63, 57
* Buy side experience a plus
* Candidate will be required to have a team-oriented mindset and work in close partnership with the various sales and trading teams and relevant support partners
* Ability to interact with clients
* Effective organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
* Candidate must be an energetic self-starter who is detail oriented while possessing excellent communication skills
