In this role, you will act as the main interface between technology infrastructure and a specific business/functional area. Incumbents help define business requirements, build application and process specifications, coordinate with delivery teams, and ensure that work is prioritized by business value and in alignment with the overarching business and technical strategies. You may have dual reporting relationship to technology and to business/functional unit management. Incumbents may be involved in the writing of technical materials/documentation.

* Works closely and develops relationships with a variety of internal and external business partners to ensure that all business requirements are understood, documented, and met

* Independently works with subject matter experts on low- to medium-complexity work to ensure clarity of the problem/opportunity and elicit business requirements
* Demonstrates strong logic and reasoning capabilities
* Uses questions and proposals to clarify requirements when unclear
* Leads discussions with the business on multiple options to help solve the root cause, including various trade-offs and recommended approach
* Formulates several possible solutions/alternatives before asking for help
* Performs a range of assignments related to a job discipline
* Effectively identifies upstream and/or downstream system/process/data impacts (upstream and downstream) and proposes appropriate alternatives/ remediation
* Demonstrates some understanding in multiple technologies/applications
* Can explain basic technical concepts to a nontechnical audience
* Identifies impacts across teams and coordinates to manage dependencies and potentially competing priorities
* Displaying dedication to helping team members/makes suggestions to improve practices
* Other duties as assigned

Business knowledge

* You demonstrate knowledge of products/flows within the domain supported
* You articulate business needs and translate them into technology solutions
* Your decisions show a focus on current and future business priorities, together with fiscal responsibility
* Ability to identify and articulate business process opportunities that may support better technical solutions

Requirements

* Typically, you have 4+ years
* Has knowledge of the latest best-of-breed technologies
* Demonstrate proficient understanding in multiple technologies/ applications
* You communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences using multiple forms such as verbal and written
* Identify impacts across teams and coordinate across senior levels to manage dependencies and potentially competing priorities
* Strong knowledge of agile methodology specifically experience writing user stories/acceptance criteria and eliciting requirements from multiple business stakeholders
* Ability to write and execute complex SQL queries
* Strong data analysis skills; knowledge of database structures and types
