How will you make an impact?

The Planning Supervisor directly oversees production planning, inventory, and purchasing for the Santa Clara manufacturing plant. The position requires both management skills as well as hands on skills to ensure goals are met and customer satisfaction is achieved through delivery and quality commitments. Primary responsibilities are inventory control, cost reduction, planning and scheduling of both externally and internally sourced goods. Based at the Santa Clara manufacturing site this person will also function as the site SAP super user due to the vast SAP responsibility required to lead the several functions.

What will you do?

* Directly oversees Production Schedule, Inventory, Purchasing, Quality, and Shipping in a Manufacturing facility
* Analyses history and current demand to adjust supply chain and manufacturing schedule to align with site and divisional goals
* Use SAP as a tool to manage and support production manufacturing and assist other SAP users on the site
* Weekly, Monthly, and Quarterly KPI reporting for things such as DOS, E&O, Production volume, cost of quality, and other plan-based metrics
* Manage cost savings targets for WIP, Inventory value, and Production rate

This job requires a People leader with advanced knowledge in Supply Planning processes. Must develop team members and ensure team is growing with the demands of the business.

How will you get here?

* Bachelors Degree- Business or other applicable discipline
* Proficient with SAP ECC6
* 2 years or more experience as Buyer and Inventory Control or an equivalent combination of education, experience and/or license/certification.
* Prefer APICS CPIM certification or similar certification in production and inventory management.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

* Annual Operating Plan (AOP) planning
* Aptitude to be a people leader
* Able to work in an MRP system (SAP ECC6)
* Ability to coach and train others in a business positive and productive environment.
