Position Overview

The Security Manager is a full-time employee of the Siemens Security Department (SEC) who is accountable for the security of Siemens personnel, assets, and operations in North America. This position will report to the Country Security Officer for the United States.

In support of SI (Smart Infrastructure), DI (Digital Industries), Mobility, Energy, SEC and POCs (Portfolio of Companies), the Security Professional is responsible for supporting implementation and compliance with the requirements set by SEC, as described in the Mandate, Circulars, and Instructions assigned to the post holders region. The Security Manager is accountable for the coordination with Siemens security contacts and site managers in the region and intra-SEC collaboration. This role will manage process not a team of employees.

You will provide tactical guidance and operational support to Regional Companies, their management teams, and other stakeholders in relation to SEC security matters, working in close partnership with the SEC functional departments and Business Security Officers. You will also be required to collaborate closely with law enforcement officials and private sector security specialists to support Siemens security operations.

Responsibilities

* Support the Siemens organization during a crisis, lead and coordinate the organization's response to critical events such as Hurricane Preparedness and Civil Unrest.
* Engage Business Unit leadership including plant managers to identify and develop security site contacts.
* Conduct training sessions on various security related topics including, Workplace Violence, Travel Security etc.
* Lead the Security Workstream during mergers and acquisitions to assist new businesses in understanding pertinent Siemens security regulations.
* Investigate all security related incidents, conduct incident trend analysis, and develop training and/or solutions to mitigate the potential for reoccurrence.
* Interact with and leverage COSOs (Country Security Officer) to assist travelers during security related emergency situations.
* Integrate the Asset Classification and Protection process into the business cycle to identify and manage a comprehensive security risk management program.
* In support with the Business, conduct security risk assessments that will identify critical assets at a location and then build an individual integrated protection concept which will provide the best possible protection of critical assets.
* Partner with the Business to investigate criminal activities including but not limited to: Property loss, Thefts, Sabotage, and Workplace violence
* Work with a team of security professionals to execute the ID badge process.
* Plan and direct complete project lifecycles, primarily in Building Access, CCTV System, Intrusion, and Remote Monitoring.
* Travel to locations to lead site surveys, installations, customer site acceptance testing and evaluating & troubleshooting performance concerns.

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

* Bachelors degree from a certified institution required, preferably in security management, psychology, business administration or another related field.
* 8 plus years of proven experience in physical security, threat management, travel management and crisis management. Of which 3 plus years in law enforcement.
* Ability to work independently, lead multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, security environment.
* Demonstrated ability to partner with various teams within a large global corporate environment to achieve specific internal security goals.
* Self-starter, creative problem solver, excellent listener and communicator.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as a professional presence and business diplomacy skills.
* Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
* Experience in leading and conducting several large-scale security initiatives.
* Ability to develop security plans, including conducting threat assessments, communicating with stakeholders, providing security guidance under time constraints, leading and implementing security processes.
* Ability to travel on as needed and on short notice. The position will require at least 25% travel.
