Job Summary:

Performs design and software programming for products and services (both internal and external) with focus on surpassing customer expectations, on achieving high quality and on-time delivery.

In addition to above:

* Performs the SDLC steps for complex projects. Performs the SDLC steps in the majority of areas of a product.
* Creates, documents, and executes software designs which may involve significant re-architecture of important systems, defining and coordinating implementation of wide-reaching impacts.
* Acts as Technical Lead of major projects within one area of a product. Influences the technical direction for one area of a product.
* Promotes innovation through the ability to introduce new technology/knowledge into at least one area of a product and to our people.
* Responsible for delivery of technical solution that spans SPLM product segments.
* Focus on Teamcenter implementation skills server and client configurations and extensions.
* Works under the guidance of Engineering Manager to architect and develop solutions.
* Collaborate with Teamcenter functional experts to understand technical requirements and create high and low level design documents.
* Participate in entire lifecycle of project including hands on configurations and customization of various products.
* Must be eager and able to learn new technologies from wide S-PL portfolio rapidly.
* Collaborate with globally distributed teams for delivery of solution per project needs.
* The job may require occasional travel including international travel.

Prerequisites and Essential Functions:

* Responsible for ensuring the overall functional quality of the released product on all required platforms and mechanism. Ability to understand complex products, solutions, and problems.
* Creates, documents, and executes software designs which may involve significant re-architecture of important systems, defining and coordinating implementation of wide-reaching impacts.
* Acts as Technical Lead of major projects within one area of a product.
* Frequently consults with customers in regard to future upgrades and products. Influences the technical direction for one area of a product.
* Promotes innovation through the ability to introduce new technology/knowledge into at least one area of a product and to our people.
* Provides high-level technical expertise, including performing in-depth and complex software systems programming and analysis.
* Provide problem resolution and technical leadership for the group.
* Possesses broad knowledge of internal operating systems, applications implications and customer areas.
* Technical Lead in guiding junior engineers.
* Works without supervision on highly complex projects with complete latitude for independent judgment and technical expertise. Extensive knowledge of the field.
* Must have 8+ years of experience with Teamcenter including large implementation at Automotive or A&D OEM Tier account.
* Previous experience must include hands on development, installation and configuration of enterprise systems.
* Previous development experience must demonstrate solid programming skills in C/C++, ITK and Active Workspace and demonstrate systems thinking in design of data model.
* Must have technical propensity to understand architecture for SPLM portfolio. Experience with ECAD and manufacturing product suite desirable.
* Must have 2+ years of experience with commercial packaged software delivery including sound project management experience.
* Good communication with emphasis on technical writing. Ability to manage expectations in highly matrixed organization.
* Must be excellent team player.

* Guides very complex design, maintenance, enhancement, testing, implementation, and support of software.
* Guides the development of software test requirements for very complex modules under development, executes very complex test specifications.
* Develops estimates for very complex modules under development and estimates own work.
* Guides reviews of complex customers standards specification and other documentation to determine software engineering requirements.
* Develops presentations of very complex technical findings and developments.
* Guides the software quality process execution of very complex module, subsystem and system test procedures

Education:

* Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Mechanical, Electrical engineering or related field required.
* Masters degree highly preferred.

Knowledge and Experience:

* Demonstrates and applies comprehensive knowledge of field of specialization to the successful completion of complex assignments.
* Demonstrates advanced knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures of particular area of specialization.
* Demonstrates significant knowledge of organization's business practices and issues faced and contributes to problem resolution of those issues.
* Typically, 8-10 years of successful experience in related field and successful demonstration of Key Responsibilities and Knowledge as presented above.
* Advanced degree MAY be substituted for experience, where applicable.
