Summary:
The purpose of the Senior Coordinator/GIS Technician - Damage Prevention is to communicate with the gas control groups for receiving and delivering the responsibility of the emergency monitoring of the onecall tickets on a daily basis, daily working in the IRTH system, and also handling GIS mapping on an as needed basis.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Monitoring of the emergency onecall tickets during working hours (6a.m.-2:30 p.m.). Includes finding the correct lineman per the Call Directing Code, calling or texting the lineman depending on the location of personnel and maintaining notes in the system regarding delivery of ticket information.
* Identify errors with one call tickets regarding delivery and/or any other anomaly and notify supervisor.
* Ability to train linemen on the one call program, to include remote controlling their computers and giving specific instructions and demonstrations.
* Identify any possible problems with the system, ie connectivity, reporting, and notify supervisor.
* With supervision, create buffer shape files in the ARC gis system and be able to export those shape files so we can submit them to the state agencies.
* Ability to create simple maps in the ARC gis system for field support

Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:
* Associates degree or additional equivalent experience. Bachelors degree preferred, but not required.
* 2+ years of previous one-call experience.
* ARC GIS experience
* Excellent Computer skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel is required.
* Self-starter with the ability to handle multiple tasks under rigid deadlines.
Working Conditions:

* Usually, normal office working conditions. Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
* 30% of job is GIS
* Ability to preform under tight time constraints, some high stress involved
* Occasional overnight travel may be required.
* Occasional visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
