What you'll do...

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer professional in our San Bruno, CA office.

Duties: Guide the design and development of roll-up components for the global eCommerce platform. Design, develop, and maintain both multi-tenant and highly scalable systems for an extensible roll-up pipeline in Kafka, Spark, Spring Framework, Java, and Scala. Implement distributed real-time streaming systems that adhere to strictly defined SLAs. Engage in data modeling and large information set retrieval using NoSQL big data stores such as Cassandra to process information for roll-up components. Develop new features in Java using Spring framework. Automate production software deployments in Jenkins and hybrid clouds including application performance monitoring and alerting using open source visualization tools such as Grafana and Kibana. Troubleshoot data issues and develop necessary tools to automate the data cleaning process. Enable highly efficient project execution by following SDLC and best practices in software engineering.

Minimum education and experience required: Masters degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (Any), Information Security, or related field and 2 years of experience in large scale enterprise software development environment; OR Bachelors degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (Any), Information Security, or related field and 5 years of experience in large scale enterprise software development environment.

Skills required: Experience developing algorithms. Experience coding in an object-oriented programming language. Experience with source code version control using Git. Experience designing and developing REST API based microservices using Java and Spring framework and testing using test frameworks including Junit and TestNG. Experience with data modeling, testing, and querying relational database management systems. Experience with data modeling, testing, and querying NoSQL database management systems. Experience developing low-latency, high-throughput, stream-processing pipelines to handle real-time data. Experience with application performance monitoring using data visualization tools including Kibana and Grafana. Experience with Linux commands and Shell Scripting. Experience with Continuous Integration and deployment automation in Jenkins. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.
