Role Description:
MuleSoft is looking for a highly skilled Sales Strategy Analyst to join our growing Sales Operations team. He/she will be responsible for supporting the companys annual quota planning cycle and throughout the year as the organization changes and grows. This position will require developing a deep and intimate understanding of the business and forging relationships with Sales Management, Strategy, and cross-functional teams.

We work with Senior Management to understand sales productivity, develop strategic goals and targets, while aligning incentive and behaviors with the Companys growth objectives.

Your Impact:

* Participate in the annual quota and sales compensation design cycle, performing analyses to inform quota setting and compensation plan improvements.

* Work with Sales Leaders to develop operational headcount plans, align sales territories, understand impacts to sales capacity, and set quotas that align with MuleSofts company goals.

* Develop and maintain quota data and models to drive insights and ensure MuleSoft is on track to attain our sales goals for the year.

* Assist the Sales Ops team in finding opportunities for increased optimization and effectiveness in our existing processes and models.

* Be a trusted advisor to the sales organization and recommend solutions to quota, compensation, and performance related issues

Experience/Skills Required:

* 4+ years of analytical experience, ideally in Sales Operations, Business Operations, Strategic Planning, Finance, or related fields

* BS in a quantitative discipline (e.g. Statistics, Math, Finance, Engineering, Sciences)

Experience/Skills Desired:

* Strong communication (written and verbal) and organizational skills

* Superb Excel skills: model building, use of advanced formulas and arrays, pivot tables, data manipulation, VBA

* Solid knowledge of queries and data/reporting tools including Tableau, SQL, Business Objects, etc.

* Ability to succeed in a collaborative, start-up paced environment where priorities change rapidly and require seamless pivoting to new projects.

* Ability to independently address and support requests: understand the core question being asked, gather needed data, build model and validate assumptions, perform analyses, summarize, and present results in a compelling manner
