Microsoft 365 Substrate is the data and intelligence platform that enables internal partner teams at Microsoft to build, deploy, and maintain compliant productivity apps and services with reduced effort and faster time to market. The Substrate Directory API team is a core team in Substrate that owns the API and caching layer for the Substrate Directory service. We work closely with teams across Substrate and M365 to provide directory services to our partners and users. Our mission is to enable fast access to the directory data at scale with optimized capacity management and greater than 99.99% availability in order to empower every person and organization on the planet.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will shape the future of our platform by designing and developing high impact features with our partner teams. Everyone on the team owns significant areas and directly contributes to the vision, direction, implementation, and ultimately the success of our products. You will collaborate on and negotiate your designs across our partner engineering teams and work closely with our PMs to design, build, and maintain an extensible set of features that will lay the foundation for our customers.

Required Qualifications:

* 4 years of professional experience of designing, coding, and troubleshooting cloud-based software.

* Demonstrated depth and experience in design and implementation of large scale cloud services.
* Data driven approach in analyzing and solving problems, using query languages and tools.
* A great team player with excellent collaboration and communication skills across disciplines, levels and product teams.
