Job Description

The Resource Manager is responsible for fulfilling engagement staffing requests using Microsoft consultants as well as facilitating the use of partner, global or additional MS resources to fill requests as appropriate.
The successful Resource Manager will understand the skill disciplines as well as know the strengths and skills of the consultants within the skill disciplines in order to successfully staff engagements.

The Resource Manager is responsible for fulfilling engagement staffing requests using Microsoft consultants as well as facilitating the use of partner, global or additional MS resources to fill requests as appropriate.
The successful Resource Manager will understand the skill disciplines as well as know the strengths and skills of the consultants within the skill disciplines in order to successfully staff engagements.

This position is responsible for making sound staffing decisions and resolving conflicts within the practice that have significant impact on utilization and on internal and external customer satisfaction.

The RM will ensure customer satisfaction with the staffing of their engagements and will achieve and exceed utilization and bench targets across the Business Application practice, as well as fulfill all demand for consulting resources within defined service levels.

The RM will work with the Practice Development Manager (PDM) team in assessing individual consultant skills and assist with developing consultant readiness plans in order to increase the consultant skills per the demands of the business. The RM is also responsible for maintaining the data integrity of our request management system.

The candidate will have strong business management skills and possess great communication and relationship skills, engagement / project management skills, some industry / technical knowledge and a familiarity with Enterprise Services organizations.
