The CSEO Data team plays a key role in building enterprise data foundation and products, measuring key metrics, and applying ML/AI in areas such as security and risk, MSFT campus refresh, employee productivity, and end to end enterprise agreement life cycle. As a Data Scientist (DS), you will collaborate with Product Managers, Data Engineers and Data Analysts to deliver AI/ML solutions at enterprise scale. Specific responsibilities will include:

* Delivering data products following the CRISP-DM methodology, spanning business & data understanding, feature engineering, modeling, validation and deployment.
* Work with Data Engineers to package and deploy your AI/ML models to production via automated pipelines.
* Collaborate with customers and Product Managers to understand user needs and provide technical guidance for solution requirements.
* Stretch your technical capabilities to build highly scalable, cost-effective solutions to handle enterprise-scale data volumes.
* Embody growth mindset with ability and passion to learn and adopt new technologies and architectures in the maturing data domain.
* You will bring relentless curiosity, strong motivation and creativity to improve product quality and business outcomes with data.

Communicate well with technical and non-technical audiences, and contribute modeling expertise as a team player.

Required:

* Demonstrated competence and 1+ year of experience programming in Python, R, Scala or other computer programming languages.u202F
* Ability to demonstrate understanding of algorithms, data structures and statistical fundamentals of AI/ML to build robust data products with minimum 1 year of experience in a data-related role (Data Scientist, Engineer, Statistician, etc.)
* Qualified candidates must have already successfully completed the Apprenti Program and worked in a data environment.u202Fu202F
* Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements for this role.u202Fu202FThese requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.u202Fu202F

Preferred experience:

* 1+ year of experience building solutions on distributed systems, including Spark, Hadoop and similar.
* Some experience building data products outside of the classroom environment like a hackathon, research project or related experience preferred.
* Demonstrated skill in time management and completing software projects in a cooperative team environment.
