As we drive toward our ambitious goals, we seek a passionate and experienced member of the team to provide direct technical assistance to Jordi Ribas, Corporate Vice President of Search + Distribution. In this Technical Assistant role, you will facilitate cross group collaboration on technical initiatives both in S+D and other teams across the company, driving technical strategy, and providing technical assistance and advice to the CVP of the organization. This role also includes the exciting opportunity to manage and grow the Spartans organization for the Web Experiences (WebXT) team, which includes Microsoft Bing, Microsoft Edge, Content Services and Maps. Spartans are a flex-force of highly talented engineers with broad and deep skills that help to accelerate and incubate strategic projects across WebXT.

In this role, some of your key responsibilities will include:
* Facilitating cross group collaboration on technical initiatives both in S+D and other teams across the company

Required Qualifications:

* 8+ years of software design and development experience
* 5+ years of experience managing engineering organizations
* Outstanding technical problem solving and debugging ability
* Excellent communication, organizational, people management, leadership, and interpersonal skills
* Ability and dedication to maintain confidentiality and work well with senior management
* Strong analytical and interpersonal skills are key, as this role requires one to build bridges between groups and identify the root causes of miscommunication
Additional preferred experience and qualifications includes:
* Experience developing online products including metrics-driven software development and controlled experiments
* Experience with machine learning including SOTA deep learning technology
* Ability to thrive in intense, multitasking, interrupt-driven worlds and enjoyment from building online products powered by industry leading AI technology
