Microsoft Cloud Operations + Innovation (CO+I) is the engine that powers Microsoft's cloud services. The team is responsible for designing, building, operating and innovating our global datacenters, managing demand planning and capacity utilization of our unified infrastructure, and responsible for all operations needed to run the physical infrastructure (including supply chain, critical environments, hardware, power, security, and workflow teams).

The CO+I Executive Office is looking for a proven expert to lead both internal and external communications. This leader is a self-motivated individual who can operate in a fast-paced environment without sacrificing results. The ideal candidate will be a strong-team player who has a vision for how first-in-class communications should be structured and delivered across the organization and externally. CO+I has a compelling story to tell our global workforce and our customers that requires alignment, structure, and thoughtful sequencing. This role requires the utmost discretion and will report directly to the CO+I Chief of Staff.

* Define and develop an organization-wide marketing, communications, and engagement strategy for CO+I. This strategy and the corresponding plans should support our organizational culture, focus on our shared priorities of diversity and inclusion, and effectively communicate multiple steams of information to our various communities.
* Provide executive marketing and communications support to the CVP of CO+I and her Leadership Team (LT), to include profile development and drafting of messages and keynotes for internal and external audiences and content support.
* Partner with marketing, product, field, and communications teams to align on messaging both internally and externally. This will include proactive research into areas of focus and challenge and the ability to successfully navigate a large bureaucracy to ensure visibility into any corporate communications that may impact CO+I.
* Build the foundation of a strong and holistic communications platform that effectively leverages all relevant mediums to communicate with clarity and impact.

Required Qualifications:

* Minimum of 7 years communications, marketing, public relations or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience in communications, including executive communications, and/or public relations, journalism, and marketing
* Proven verbal and written communication skills and the ability to clearly articulate complex issues and deliver compelling information to different audiences
* A passion for communicating with clarity and impact and an interest in exploring new and compelling ways to connect with our workforce and our customers
* Proven organizational skills and the ability to successfully balance competing projects and priorities
Professional maturity, outstanding judgment, and the ability to communicate vertically to the senior leadership of CO+I, C+AI, and Microsoft
* Ability to scale content delivery and experience building multi-media communications strategies for a large, globally distributed, and diverse workforce
* Successful demonstration of cross-group and stakeholder collaboration
* Experience with tools and methodologies that measure the impact and effectiveness of communications methodologies
* Microsoft Office skills, particularly PowerPoint. Adobe Creative Suite experience a plus
