Located in the outskirts of Washington, D.C, Reston Hospital Center, a 199-bed acute facility, lies within the vibrant Town Center of Reston, known for its lively mix of restaurants, shops, and services. PURPOSE

To provide secretarial, clerical and administrative support to facilitate all patient activities such as registration, scheduling, charge entry, collections, benefits verifications, and file maintenance.

JOB RELATIONSHIP

Reports to the Clinic Coordinator for administrative and clinical issues and Office Manager for day to business office tasks.

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE: Two years secretarial and customer service experience preferably in a medical environment. Basic understanding and experience with office equipment. Computer literate. Knowledge of basic medical terminology preferred. Strong, effective communication skills. Must possess good interpersonal skills. Must be able to work with little or no supervision and able to deal in a professional and tactful manner with patients, visitors and staff. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Must be able to multi-task.
