This is an hourly level position.

Position Summary:
The sample department compounder will perform all duties necessary to safely compound quality products. To ensure delivery due dates for the sample are met. To operate according to the manufacturing order and management instructions. Follow ISO9001, GMP, and HACCP procedures and requirements.
Job Responsibilities:
* Customer focused-respond with sense of urgency to meet customer due date
* Follow formula instructions, weighing raw materials with precision to create quality products
* Research raw material inventory locations and order accordingly
* Compound efficiently, focusing on task
* Follow instructions for spray dry formulas
* Issue off ingredients from inventory on AS400
* Clean equipment and entire work area when finished compounding formula
* Follow QC and sampling procedure. Report QC deviations to the manager
* Execute formula adjustments according to QC and formula requirements
* Package products according to customer requirements
* Ensure ISO 9001, 22000 is compliant and HACCP procedures are followed
* Contribute to team by performing other duties as assigned
* Utilize training and daily awareness to ensure safe environment, report unsafe conditions
* Compound formula according to instructions
* Spray dry according to directions
* Keep work area clean and contaminate free
* Work efficiently and multi-task to achieve daily goals
* Maintain stock of common raw material
* Manage and prioritize sample requests, full attention on Diamond Project and urgent requests
* Communicate the urgency to QC when needed
* Fill in when needed or time permits- project cart, liquid compounding, etc
* Investigate different ways of working efficiently
* Understand and adhere to ISO procedures

* Good interpersonal and computer skills (AS400 and PC)

* Skills and knowledge, understanding the sample manufacturing processes to achieve optimal results

* Ability to manage time to accomplish daily assignments
* Ability to resolve conflicts independently
Education Requirements:
* High School Diploma (or equivalent) or above preferred
* Prefer 1-3 years of spray dry and compounding experience in the flavor industry
Physical Requirements:
* Physical Demands-able to stand, walk, climb stairs up to 8 hours a day
* Physical Demands able to lift up to 50 pounds
