What you will be doing

Companies across theAmerisourceBergen network rely on our dedicated warehouse associates, who helpus maintain the highest standards of inventory management, shipping anddistribution. Our Warehouse Associates play a crucial role in our distributioncenters to supply pharmacies, hospitals, and long-term care facilities with thepharmaceutical products they need.

We service patientsnationally, with 3 local facilities in Lockbourne, OH. Two of our locations have opportunities that span various skill sets and shifts:

* National Distribution Center Central operation that receives product frommanufacturers and distributes inventory internally based on company needs
* Lockbourne Distribution Center Distribution Center environment thatdistributes to AmerisourceBergen customers via automated and manual pick, packand ship operations

AmerisourceBergen has ongoing need for Warehouse Associates. As a WarehouseAssociate, a typical day might include:

* Order fulfillment, stocking and replenishment, and outbound shipping of customer orders.
* Rotate stock so that newly-received items can be used last.
* Prepare orders for shipment by pulling items from shelves.
* Return merchandise to proper shelf in the warehouse.
* Perform daily cycle counting and researching of discrepancies.
* Maintain a clean work area to help ensure that merchandise remains clean and to help prevent work related injuries.
* May verify merchandise received against receiving documents, notes and reports discrepancies and any obvious damages (dependent upon shift assignment).

What your background should look like (minimum qualifications)

Requires completion of a high schooldiploma, general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of experienceand education. Requires a minimum of one (1) year of equivalent workexperience.

* Ability to read and understand theEnglish language for the purpose of comparing and reading product descriptions,names and shelf labels.
* Must possess basic mathematicalskills.
* Strong interpersonal skills; abilityto develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with others.
* Strong organizational skills; detailoriented.
* Ability to use good judgment inorder to carry out detailed instructions.
* Basic computer knowledge preferred.
* Maintains a clean work area to helpensure that merchandise remains clean and to help prevent work relatedinjuries.
* Complies with all appropriatepolicies, procedures, safety rules and regulations.
* Must be able to work overtime whennecessary and participate in physical inventory.
* Have a good overall understanding ofDC workflow and can work with minimal guidance.
* Ability to operate equipment at highlevels (20-40) such as reach truck, picker machine, forklift, etc.
* Ability to help train and assistassociates when needed
* Must be a team player anddemonstrate effective communication and problem-solving skills.
* Must maintain appropriate attendancestandards
