Banker Development Program Summer Intern
Amegy Banks Summer Internship Program is designed to provide college students with an opportunity to gain knowledge, experience, and exposure in the banking industry.
Each intern is assigned to a specific lending group for the summer. Most of the opportunities are in commercial lending areas. Duties include but are not limited to: conducting industry research, preparing client prospect lists, scheduling appointments with prospective clients, preparing marketing materials, and observing the process of spreading financial statements and underwriting loans.
The internship experience also includes several networking events with executives and other managers around the Bank, professional development and training sessions, case studies, overviews of various areas of the Bank, and social events.
The combination of hands-on assignments, programmed trainings, and events provides each intern with a well-rounded summer experience.
The Summer Internship Program opportunities are available in our Houston, Dallas-Fort Worth, and Central Texas markets. The Internship is a paid position. The bank does not provide housing for interns.
Amegy targets high-potential students who have a demonstrated work ethic, leadership skills through work experience and classroom experience, and extracurricular activities.
* Undergraduate business major, Finance or Accounting preferred
* Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA*
* Must have completed 6 hours of accounting**
* Must have completed junior year undergraduate work by May 2021
* Must be scheduled to graduate December 2021 or May 2022
* Must be able to work between June 14, 2021 August 6, 2021, 40 hours per week
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Leadership experience and community engagement are a plus
